Terms and Conditions

Legal Agreement Governing Your Use of TradEdge Services

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules, obligations, rights, and limitations that apply to all users of TradEdge — including individuals, traders, agents, associations, cooperatives, institutions, and government partners. By accessing our website, applications, APIs, or digital services, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Introduction

TradEdge is a digital identity, enumeration, and financial inclusion platform operated by SmartClouds Hosting Solutions Ltd. These Terms govern your use of all TradEdge services, including digital identity verification, financial services, wallet systems, loan tools, association dashboards, APIs, mobile apps, and web-based platforms.

2. Eligibility & User Requirements

To use TradEdge, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have guardian consent;
  • You have full legal capacity to enter into agreements;
  • You provide accurate and verifiable information;
  • You comply with local, national, and financial regulations;
  • You are not barred from using financial technologies by law.

3. Account Registration & User Responsibilities

When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide correct personal and/or business information;
  • Maintain only one personal account unless authorized;
  • Secure your login credentials and devices;
  • Notify TradEdge immediately of unauthorized access;
  • Update your details when changes occur.

You are responsible for all activities conducted under your account.

4. Services Offered by TradEdge

TradEdge provides digital services including:

  • Digital enumeration of traders and businesses;
  • Identity verification using NIN, BVN, or biometric data;
  • Digital wallet creation and balance management;
  • Bank account generation through partner banks;
  • Transaction history, digital receipts, and payouts;
  • Loan eligibility scoring, overdraft services, and credit tools;
  • Insurance access and enrollment through partners;
  • Cooperative and association dashboards;
  • API integrations for government and private institutions.

TradEdge may modify or introduce new services at any time.

5. Fees, Charges & Payments

Some TradEdge services are free, while others attract fees, including:

  • Insurance activation fees;
  • Loan processing or interest charges;
  • Wallet transfer charges depending on partner banks;
  • Replacement of ID cards or documents;
  • Premium business analytics tools.

All applicable fees will be shown before activation. By using TradEdge, you authorize necessary deductions from your wallet or linked accounts.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

Users must not:

  • Provide false identity, documents, or financial information;
  • Use TradEdge for money laundering or illegal transactions;
  • Interfere with platform systems or security protocols;
  • Create duplicate or fraudulent accounts;
  • Reverse-engineer, damage, or overload the platform;
  • Engage in abusive behavior toward staff or agents.

7. Third-Party Partners & Integrations

TradEdge works with partner banks, verification providers, KYC agencies, payment processors, insurers, associations, and government institutions. Some decisions—such as loan approvals, insurance approvals, or account restrictions—are handled entirely by these partners.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All platform content, software, branding, systems, data structures, algorithms, and design elements belong exclusively to SmartClouds Hosting Solutions Ltd. Users may not copy, reuse, mirror, modify, or distribute any part of the system without written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

TradEdge is provided “as is.” SmartClouds Hosting Solutions Ltd is not liable for:

  • Service downtime due to maintenance or external providers;
  • Losses caused by inaccurate user data or negligence;
  • Unauthorized access resulting from weak passwords or device compromise;
  • Decisions taken by banks, regulators, or insurance partners;
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if:

  • Fraudulent or illegal activity is detected;
  • You violate platform rules or policies;
  • You misuse financial, identity, or partner services;
  • Regulatory or legal authorities instruct us to do so.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes must first be reported to TradEdge Support. If still unresolved, disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, before considering court litigation.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, NDPR requirements, CBN financial regulations, and any applicable industry standards.
